Memoranda
Exercise Poppy Line -
Note this is an update as of 28th March 2008 – Please ignore previous info re CPs
The 10th annual Long distance walk for the LDWA – (if you feel walkingly challenged I’m sure you can walk the whole 50+ miles . . . )
This is an interesting day and we need people at different places at different times for differing periods of time . . . – if you want to do more than control point then that would be most welcome!! There is usually a mobile station throughout the day on the route.
If you would like to take part, please email me a.s.a.p. giving details of the sort of time you can commit too (it seems most CPs will need to be manned between 3 – 4 hours with the exception of the later ones which will need a longer period of time . . . ) As this is a long day for controller, volunteers to relieve the controller would be more than welcome – good opportunity to gain experience!!
The route is being changed this year, and as soon as I get new details, I will post them here.

There is perhaps still a real need for anyone who can go out and do a couple / 3 hours at either CP6 or CP7 so that 2E0ILH and 2E0DJR can be relieved earlier.
Not on the CP list is G4PSH, controller for the day, G7VAH who will be activating each CP, especially the more remote ones at Bacton and Briggate, where we will likely need aerials on masts as well as M1CQS who will be taking over the controller role from G4PSH at around 20.00
