Memoranda

We need you!!!!!!!

Nigel, M3NLK, has volunteered to look after the Raynet Caravan (our “Mobile Response Unit” – MRU) which we can use as a mobile control if we are called to a long lasting incident. (We could always use it for exercises/events if a person is prepared to tow it).

To ensure that it is in tip-top condition (it has just been cleaned, overhauled etc.) we really need to have it kept clean and serviced at intervals. Nigel is willing to do this, but ideally we need a few people who could give a couple of hours every now and then to go with him to Aylsham (where the caravan is kept) and help clean the outside, grease it, check tire pressures etc.  (No heavy lifting etc.)

If enough people are willingly to help out, Nigel would be able to ring and sort a day and time for you to go along – it’s likely to be at about a week’s notice and it could be any day as it would fit in with Nigel’s days off work (he does often work at weekends so it could easily be mid week) – and it wouldn’t be very often!!

If you would like to go on the rota, either contact your controller or contact Nigel direct – if you e-mail him, put Raynet Caravan and your call sign in the subject line as Nigel gets a lot of spam and he uses this to help sort things!!
